TNEB Electricity Bill calculator:

TNEB Bill calculator is a tool used to calculate the Tamil Nadu state electricity bill online for free and without installing any android application. It is an online tool that you have to enter your electricity power consumption and by clicking the calculate button, you can simply calculate the electricity power of the TNEB as per the reading provided electricity board.

TNEB Tariff rate 2022-23:

As per latest announcement from the Tamil nadu government the electricity tariff rate has no change but the government announced some subsidy for the former and the Power looms business people.

The tariff order is divided into two category such as Low Tension consumer (who recives single phase or three phase upto 690 Volts) and the next one is High Tension consumer (above 690V).

Let us see the tariff rate for the low tension consumer. There are six category are at present in this trafiff and they are,

  1. LT- Residential
  2. Institutions
  3. Small Business upto 12kW Connected Load.
  4. Agriculture
  5. Commercial
  6. Temporary Connections.

Let us see the tneb electricity tariff rate for LT-Residential consumer.

The below tariff applicable for Domestic , Handloom, Old age homes, Consulting rooms, Nutritious Meals Centres etc.

For Handlooms in residence, 0 to 200 units bimonthly is free. (Above 200 units bi-monthly, the corresponding slab in the domestic tariff is applicable).

Here you can see the residential tariff have Four slaps such as less than 100, less than 200, less than 500 and the more than 500 units consumption.

As per the residential tariff, the consumer consumes less than 100 units will be considered as no charges and the electricity is totally free.

If the consumer’s consumption is more than 100 units and less than 200 units means they will be charges as below

As same as the consumer who consumes more than 200 units but lesser than 500 kWh means, they will fall into third slabs. The rate per each slap will be varied as below.

As the same energy charges more than 500 units will be considered as below tariff rates.

Also along with that, you have to pay fixed charges per charges. Such as 20 to 30 rs per service.

The Govt institutions consumer shall pay 5.75 Per kWh and the Private institutions shall pay 7.5 per kWh as well as they shall pay 120 per kW as fixed charges.

Also colonies consumer shall pay rs 4.6 per kW for the consumption of all units.

Small industries are defined as less than 12kW and more than 12kW of connected load. Also for power looms consumer has 750 units of free and they have to pay 70 per kW as fixed charges and the tariff units are provided above.

If the small industries consumer has more than 12kW means, they shall pay 6.35 rs per kW as electricity charges and there is no subsidy and 70/kW.

Agriculture consumer:

Agricultural, sericulture, floriculture, horticulture and fish/prawn culture etc., – Till installation of meters (Fully subsidized by the Govt.) is free of charges and all the units come into subsidy.

The net electricity consumption is zero.

Commercial Tariff:

Commercial consumer such as commercial building, advertisement boards comes into this tariff.

Commercial consumer shall pay rs 5 per unit upto 100 units and more than 100 units the consumer shall pay 8.05 per unit. Also the consumer shall pay 140 per kW.

Temporary Connection:

For temporary activities, construction of buildings and Lavish illumination, additional construction of beyond 2000 square feet in the premises of an existing consumer shall pay 12 per kWh as well as 690/- per kW as connected charges.
